The CIPHER COWL , designed by Meret Bützberger, is the 2026 Swiss Yarn Festival’s Knitalong and will focus on the “double face” technique, but don't worry, if you don't feel confident enough to try double face, you can also knit the cowl in classic two-color stranded knitting.
The pattern is be available in three languages: English, German, and French. *When you buy the kit, the free pattern code will be sent to your email so you can download it to your Ravelry library. (Please do not buy the pattern first; the pattern cost will not be refunded to you).

Yarn The cowl is knitted in fingering weight wool; kits will be sold using SOCKLANDIA SINGLES, 366m/100g, 100% Superwash Merino Wool.
Yarn requirements: Main color: 220 m / 241 yds Contrast color: 220 m / 241 yds
Needle size 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles or the size that will produce the gauge.
Gauge 23 stitches x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in double faceor stranded measured after washing and drying
Recommended care: Hand wash cold. Dry Flat Color bleeding may occur. Please wash separately from other garments for the first few washes. It is with care that we rinse the yarns thoroughly. You might have a slight color to your rinse but this should not stain.
